Missions
Putting our words into action and making a difference
GUMC is a mission-minded congregation. Our Missions Committee works to connect the congregation to opportunities to be in missions locally, nationally, and throughout the world.
Each month the committee selects a mission outreach and shares the purpose and work being done by that group and/or their needs. Quarters are collected by the kids on Sundays and
donated to these different outreach groups.
Mission outreaches chosen for 2024 include the following:
- heating assistance
- a clean-water project
- a women’s and children’s mission in Guatemala
- a local food pantry
- pool passes
- a local summer lunch program
- the Ronald McDonald House
- Ingathering school kits
