GriefShare
You are not alone – get support at Garner

As January fades to February, holiday decor is filled with red hearts promising to love forever and asking loved ones to “Be Mine” amid the chilly days of the upper Midwest. Enjoying this time is extra difficult if one is grieving the loss of a loved one. We are here to help.
Our spring session, using updated materials,
starts Sunday, Feb. 15, 2025, at 2 pm.
GriefShare is a free, faith-based grief recovery seminar and support group. GriefShare offers a 13-session video seminar series featuring individuals who have personally experienced the death of a loved one and other losses. Open to people of any denomination, it also includes some of the nation’s foremost Christian experts speaking on grief and recovery topics from a biblical perspective.
Each seminar session includes group time that allows participants to discuss the DVD topic and to share their own grieving process. A workbook is provided free of charge for use at home during the week.
GriefShare meets at Garner UMC Sunday afternoons from 2 to 4 pm, but please check the calendar to ensure there’s not a break in the schedule. The church is located at 885 Maben Avenue. Please use the north entrance to reach the Fireside Room. New participants can join anytime.
Please feel free to contact Robin Sweers at rrsweers@gmail.com or the church office (641-923-2191) if you have any questions or would like more information.
