Summer 2026 Worship
Join Us Exploring the World
You ARE Key at GUMC!
... But You Don't Have to Take OUR Word For It!
This June and July, the GUMC Worship Committee invites you to dive into our new 8-week summer worship series: “Take a Look, It’s in THE BOOK!
A Summer Journey Through the Greatest Story Ever Told.”
... Butterflies in the Sky...
Yes, the title may remind you of a beloved PBS children’s show—and honestly, the sentiment is exactly the same. Reading really is magic, especially when we explore the vast, sweeping narrative of God’s love together.
In today’s fast-paced, complicated world, true Biblical literacy is more important than ever. The Bible is a living, breathing library filled with poetry, history, struggle, and hope. When we understand its context, we learn how to better live out love, justice, and compassion in our modern neighborhoods. But you don’t have to take the pastor’s word for it!
This summer is all about finding yourself in the story, asking big questions, and exploring how these ancient words still speak truth to our lives today.
From the very first “In the beginning” to the final “Amen,” we are going to look at the big picture of scripture. This series is about understanding the overarching story of a God who is constantly moving toward Grace, Inclusion, and Love, culminating in the ultimate victory of Jesus.
